New to our line up are our bible/document boxes.  They are our take on colonial boxes used to keep the family bible safe and secure.  The box shown at left features an inlaid wood cross.  That's not painted on, it's an actual wood inlay.  The cross shown is standard, but if you send us a symbol, we can probably fit to on your box.  See our guidelines below.

Our Bible Boxes are our versions of a colonial idea of keeping the most precious book in the home safe and secure.  We think there's a place for them in today's hectic life.  Our boxes feature an inlaid cross that's carefully cut from clear, white pine and fitted seamlessly into the box lid.  The boxes themselves feature half lapped and pegged construction for strength.  For a limited time, these boxes will be made from mahogany.  We say for a limited time because our supply is limited and mahogany is difficult to come by.  Once our supply is gone, we'll be producing these boxes from more readily available white or red oak.  We'll have those photos on the site once the mahoganies are gone.  Boxes are finished in a clear, polyurethane finish.

Note:  If you would like a different symbol on your box, either religious, or some other symbol, send us your requirement and we'll try to meet it.  For custom shapes we do charge an extra $25 setup fee since we'll have to make a new template for inlay work.  In general, we only inlay shapes that are basically cut out shapes like the cross shown.  If your symbol has complex detail, it probably won't work well with an inlay.  Think in terms of a silhouetted shape.  Also, if you need a different inside size to accommodate a different book or other use, contact us and we'll price it for you.
